The International Youth Hostel Federation is one of the biggest
NGOs for youth in the world. The main aim is connected with youth travel,
with youth tourism. We are the biggest youth accommodation chain in the
world. We are dealing with the local associations in seventy countries,
which mean that almost all continents and countries are covered by an
infrastructure of youth hostels. There are more than 4,500 of them. They
are of different standards and different types, according to the local
needs, according to the local tradition. We are encouraging people to
develop their own type of youth hostels in order to create a special
product for youth.
